This is actually true though.
Even though the HD-DVD Format died, the HD-DVD Players make great DVD UpScalers.

Now I've just bought a HD-DVD player and 10 films for £23 last week, I'm now buying more HD-DVDs at £2 a go! xD

I just cant understand why there are people who still talk crap about the blu ray disc. put aside your selfishness and accept the fact that the shitty hd dvd has lost.its not a football club! its just a format.why not chose something of high quality(blu ray disc)

the quality is the same you couldnt tell the differnce if there was, but i liked hd dvd's a lot more then blurays, but whatever i have a blu ray player now

I think he actually paid $99 for the player during that promotion last year and also got a number of free HD-DVDs with it.
