I think the practice of tattooing fish is awful. Who likes tattooed fish? Mainly those who can't properly take care of them. It's awful. Fish are so beautiful as they are. Tattooing and sticking them with dye ruins them. People see these fish at a pet store and want them because they have "I <3 U" on them. Do they know how to take care of them? Do they know how to cycle a tank? Do they know how to treat different diseases? Do they even know how much to feed their fish? No. Pathetic.

Best thing to do is not to buy these poor fish, might seem cruel in the long run but if people dont buy mutilated fish then the fish store wont have a reason to keep buying them in. Fish are thing of natural beauty not some fucking paris hilton accessory you can customize
