how are you suppose to get that little band on your lanyard?

@pinkmints Thank you for answering my questions about bird banding. I will leave his little band on his leg. I sure don't want to hurt him in any way.

@moohambone1 Don't remove it! The band is not made to be removed... and it is very risky to try and take it off yourself. Leave it on. :)

Once you get the band on, how do you remove it safely? My bird acts like it is really bothering him. I bought him that way, already banded.
