@sjcommander91 well the effective range of the Boys rifle is 100 meters (but with magic maybe more) while a sidewinder missile can go 22 miles Shirley is the only one that can break the sound barrier(barely) but by default all modern gets do that. Any jet can see the witches from far away (out of sight)by radar while only mio sanya maybe minna can. Shields will eventually the runout when they get tired. Jets can just spam missils from far away whittle down the shields overtime

@AquarianWarKitten You're forgetting the magic. How many jets do you know that can erect shields that can stop a .55 Boys anti-tank round (as seen when Perrine's shield blocks Lynne's bullet when Perrine trains Eila)? Besides, Mio Sakamoto can see planes from far away with her magic eye, Yoshika can just about block a nuke with her shield, Shirley can outrun a jet with her speed power, and Eila can hardly be hit because she instantly knows where to move to to dodge incoming fire.

@Vaultmon sadly i would put my money on modern jets the have the ability to engage other aircraft from beyond the horizon with fire and forget missiles. also many of the witches must engage line of sight due to firing guns. Only sanya can fight effectively at night or in harsh weather while many modern jets can. Missles have multiple ways of guidance than heat, like radar, and laser painting. Also the witches are based of of ww2 planes which would be way out classed.

I wonder who would win ina dog fight, The witches or a Modern jet fighter. Personaaly I think it would be a wash. The witches would have monuvarablity and shielding, but not he speed or fire power. THe jet would dominate in speed and firepower, but only upclose. I dont think the witches would have enough heat to cause lock ons to target them. What do you guys think.
