I'm a graduate of the Beavercreek High School Marching Band, and in 2007 we performed U2 for hundreds of thousands of people across the country. It was one of the best experiences of my life, and so I have to thank Jay Rees for composing the music and Doug McCullough for writing the show. Afterwards, though, I started exploring U2's music some more, and realized that there were many, many more songs than what we did that would work brilliantly in a marching band show. At that point I decided to make my own U2 show, and so this is part of the second segment of this show that has been kicking around my head for four years.
Some notes: I did not bother to add a drum part to this, so you'll have to imagine a marching band drum line jamming to this 12/8 song. In my head, this transitions into City of Blinding Lights, but I have not written that yet. I may never get around to it, since I lost the .mus file to this in a hardware failure. Rewriting this would not be too difficult, however, since I have the sound file.
This was done using Finale PrintMusic.
Disclaimer: I don't own U2's song "Love and Peace or Else" or the picture used as a background. I am not making money off of this video.
