Ugandans prayed for rains after a pro-longed dry spell but when the rains finally came so did tragedy and disaster. Almost all the rural road network has been destroyed by flooding as a result of heavy rains. Tonight Sudhir Byaruhanga starts an exclusive four part series highlighting the effects of flooding on the livelihoods of the people of Eastern Uganda. His first stop was the road between Soroti and Katakwi where the flooding has bought nothing but misery and hardships to the local residents.
