Phoenix- an immortal and mutable manifestation of the prime universal force of life. Born of the void between states of being, the Phoenix Force is a child of the universe. It is the nexus of all psionic energy which does, has, and ever will exist in all realities of the omniverse, the Guardian of Creation, and a de-facto guardian of the M'Kraan Crystal.
Powers:The Phoenix Force has the ability to manipulate cosmic energies and to tap into the life-force reserved for future generations, thus denying them existence. It can wield this energy to project beams of immense destructive force. It can transmigrate throughout time and space by folding its energy back into itself, causing it to collapse akin to a black hole and then reform itself upon reaching its destination. It can directly absorb energy such as Cyclops' optic blasts or even the entire energy of a sun. It is also capable of absorbing the energy and life-force from a foe. As it is the nexus of all psionic energy, it has mental abilities of cosmic scope, including telepathy and telekinesis

Powers:Storm possesses the ability to control all forms of weather. She can control the temperature of the environment, control all forms of precipitation, humidity and moisture, coalesce toxic atmospheric pollutants into acid rain or toxic fog, control the wind to elevate herself to fly at high altitudes and speeds, generate lightning and other electromagnetic atmospheric phenomena, and has demonstrated excellent control over atmospheric pressure. She can produce all forms of meteorological tempests, such as tornadoes, thunderstorms, blizzards, and is capable of summoning even a hurricane, as well as a mist. She can dissipate such weather to form clear skies as well. Besides the atmosphere, Storm has demonstrated the ability to control natural forces that include cosmic storms, solar wind, ocean currents, and the electromagnetic field. She can create electric, magnetic, and electromagnetic fields and has demonstrated the ability to create electrolytic fields to separate water molecules into oxygen and hydrogen. While in outer space, she is able to affect and manipulate the interstellar and intergalactic mediums. Storm can alter her visual perceptions so as to see the universe in terms of energy patterns, detecting the flow of the electromagnetic fields behind weather phenomena, machines, and nervous systems and bend these forces to her will. Storm has shown to be sensitive to the dynamics of the natural world. One consequence of this connection to nature is that she often suppresses extreme feelings to prevent her emotional state from resulting in violent weather. She has sensed a diseased and dying tree on the X-Mansion grounds, detected objects within various atmospheric mediums--including water, and sensed the incorrect motion of a hurricane in the Northern Hemisphere and the gravitational stress on the tides by the Moon and Sun as well as the distortion of a planet's magnetosphere.Storm's mutant abilities are limited by her willpower and the strength of her body. Her character has been described as being a "possible Omega-level mutant."Storm's ancestry supports the use of magic and witchcraft. Many of her ancestors were sorceresses and priestesses. Storm's matrilenial powers have even been linked to the real-world Rain Queens of Balobedu, the region from which her Sorceress Supreme ancestor, Ayesha, hails. The Mystic Arcana series deals with Storm's ancestor Ashake, who worships the Egyptian goddess Ma'at, also known as Oshtur--the mother of Agamotto. Some of Storm's alternate universe selves possess considerable magical talent. Although Storm has not developed her magical potential, it has been hinted at. The Mystic Arcana series lists the characters with magic potential according to the Marvel Tarot deck. The Tarot asserts Storm as being "High Priestess," the First Tarot's choice one-third of the time. The other draws were the Scarlet Witch and Agatha Harkness. These three characters split the High Priestess card equally. On a separate note, it has been stated that Storm's spirit is so strong that she was able to host the consciousness of Eternity, a feat which very few Marvel characters can accomplish without going insane.

on the other hand can control lot's of planetary things such as

a war i mean one who controls the weather controls the world

and therefor storm wielding weather if she want it to could do

a take over depending on who's standing in her way.

@vipsanlove hmm.. you're right. I guess ppl are just debating what would happen if then did fight, regardless of the reason and stipulations that goes with it. storm and jean always holds back when fighting.. they're soo alike, both passive, loving, very powerful. i love them both ;D it makes me sad that jean is now in the center of all creation currently as White Phoenix of the Crown healing wounded universes and such while storm is a "slave" to that dick husband of hers T'challa all well

there like sisters plus storm alway's seem to hold-back in com

bats and the anger the lie's inside her she try's her vary best to

keep under control and backed by a strong-will storm and jean

(not counting phoenix powers)would rule worlds together!

@vipsanlove don't get me wrong.. i absolutely adore storm.. and she would pull of a win with a phoenix-less jean.. storm is easily one of the world's most powerful mutants.. a simple headache would cause monsoons and tempest winds across the world causing utter devestation.. the power she wields is the energy of the earth itself which governs the weather patterns.. the woman is a goddess in her own right, however she is but a speck of dust to jean when she wields the power of creation itself..

@BMEZY interesting to say the least i mean i like jean

but she is starting to push me away,anyway scarlet's

witch was described as the "nexus being" of the marvel

universe as she is capable of birthing children with power

enough to challenge the avatars of eternity and creating

entire armies of enemies from nowhere but she sadly does

not fully control her power,and going back to storm she got

"potential"to become more powerful,but like i said storm vs

phoenix is silly to say the least.

@vipsanlove how does the scarlet witch pulla wins from the phoenix.. if i remember correctly, It was Phoenix of the White Crown (current jean grey) that broke the SW spell over her world with the birth of hope, which contains the essence of the phoenix force.. also it was jean's essence via the homoemphatic cyrstal as phoenix that protected racheal from being affect by the SW reality warp..the nature of this force negates reality warping..hell the phoenix spawned reality loll
