ITVplc is Granada. Basically during the 90s, Grandada and Carlton started buying the English and Welsh ITV regional stations and then eventually Granada merged with Carlton with a 51% majority.

To answer the question asked by the person who uploaded this video-no. Maybe its because ITVplc is practically all ive ever known as I am only 14. I much prefer nationalised branding.
