  • Janet, You make some good points & I agree with alot of them. For myself however I like a way to provide for my family that I can rely on most of the time.. Aside from a paycheck I can count on every 2 weeks, I also have Affordable Health Insurance, this can mean the difference between life and death for some, for others it saves them from going bankrupt when a major illness strikes a family member..

Anyhow, keep it up, love your videos!

  • Yes, health care can be so expensive for the self-employed especially.

I found an individual health plan (medical, dental, vision) through Anthem that is fairly affordable for my son and for me. I just have to pay for each of us separately, but it has worked out very well so far.

  • Ha Ha Ha! Fox news? Do you even know who you're talking to here? I and most of your subscribers are well aware of what's going on and I bet a good percentage of us no longer watch tv. I got rid of mine 2 years ago. Toward the end of the video I think you were talking to average Americans, not us.

  • vention4wh,

I'm talking to everyone - even people who haven't subscribed. I'm trying to wake people up. I know what you mean though...

  • I know a guy that is refinishing the wood floors in two homes owned by a successful Dentist, in trade or barter for dental work.

If the workmanship on his teeth, turns out half as good as the workmanship on the floors, it is a win/win.

The real point I am trying to make is that we have become so attached to dollar-based living and thriving that we have become complacent and less creative.

  • You just reminded me of an idea I had for another video. Maybe tomorrow. :)

  • Good points. BTW - you're as smart as you are pretty.

    Take care.

  • young lady , please take some fatherly advice. You give me the impression that you really need to be grounded in some form of work and security. Your videos indicate to me that you are putting yourself at great risk of being taken by such an open ended request for input from strangers. If you have any family support please get back with them. tj

  • Does having a job keep your child from you?

  • I know exactly what you're talking about. I have been unemployed for 6 months, living off of savings in a one bedroom apt with no govt assistance or anything. Most may think this is a stressfull time....but this is a very important point in my life, because I am now able to figure out what I really want in my life instead of being distracted with that shitty job I had. Just as you said!

  • I don't have time for a job.

  • Please listen to Janet. She has described what many of us have been through, and some of the challenges involved in not having a job. Thank you Janet. You are not alone!

  • You make a fair point. There's really only one good reason to have a job. Necessity.

On the down side. bosses can treat employees badly. I know at the last place I worked the foreman over the whole place treated people poorly. I am glad I dont work there anymore.

  • I have social anxiety / social phobis. for me having a job and being around people is difficult.

  • Great point... easier said than done however..

  • what about diversifying your employment? have a part time job as well as another financial pursuit on the side that way if one does better than the other at different times then your income is more likely to stay more stable? I have a 38hr/wk day job but have begun investing a lot of my savings, safely for now, with more riskier stuff when I've learned more over the next few years

  • People should stop saying, "in my opinion" about anything. All it means is that you are not too secure in your opinion, that's why you are excusing your opinion before you can be berated for it. Just state what you think, no apologies.

  • If it pays a living wage, a factory job is a rare job nowadays!
