The Intriguer (original lyrics for Crowded House lead singer contest)

This my video submission to the "Be The Lead Singer of Crowded House" contest. The band Crowded House provided an MP3 of the instrumental track "Intriguer" for fans to record themselves performing original lyrics. Please forgive the mess... this is my creative space so it's pretty much always a mess!

UPDATE: The contest was won by a performer known as "Miss Little" (Sara McCallum) from Sydney, Australia. Here is a video of her performing her lyrics with the band at the final concert of the tour in Sydney:

Just Brilliant John, This is the BEST I've heard. Your voice really suits this song. Your vocal sounds WAY BETTER than Neil Finn version. You have made the song "flow" They'd be fools not to pick this as the winner.

The recording process would really bring that great voice you have to the fore. I don't know whats happening to the mix in your "live" stuff because your voice sounds crap. I guess you just need a chance to shine.

@KnightsofDays I don't disagree... live performance is much more difficult to make sound good. I have great respect for artists who sound as good live as they do recorded.

@KnightsofDays Wow! Thank you so much for the kind words and encouragement... winning the contest would be a dream come true for me. I've been a fan since the first CH album and Neil Finn has always been an inspiration and role model for me of what great music and lyrics should be. Just knowing that true CH fans like my version of the song is rewarding in itself.
