We try not to waste anything out on the street. Don had two farting dogs, a fat but affectionate Pit Bull and a raggedy German Shepherd who had a cat's aloofness. Some of us street folk used to joke that when the dogs barked at us, they weren't guarding the old man's camper, they were begging us to let them out of the stinky place.
