memories like a blast from the past, was a great weekend, lucky for me i had a back stage pass thanks to Motorhead & the guy i was dating at the time.

@seanpgh I would have to say I agree. CT are doing something different than Poison or DefLeppard--it's not the same type of music. Cheap Trick have always had their own thing going.

Excelent thanks whoever posted it brings back some good memories. I was converted to a cheap trick after this concert. Strange at the time I thought they went down well.

Cheap Trick Never Were Huge In England ,2 Bad They Didn't Show The Crowd Reaction To This Total American USA Band They Were Influenced By British Bands But What Band Wasn't...........It Sounds Like They Bombed And The Audience Were One Step Away From Throwing Things At Them.......CT And Europe Never Seemed To Mix, Please Any English Fans Or From Europe If I'm Wrong, But I Don't Think I Am After Reading Their Book........"Reputation Is A Fragile Thing"

I feel so honoured to be able to say 'I Was There' on this vid!!
We were in front of the right hand stage where Cheap Trick played that night and the two things I remember most were Rick throwing guitars over his head into the back of the stage and the three-step 'hop-up' he kept climbing up and down. A brilliant band and a brilliant song.

Absolutely goddamned right. Couldn't have said it better myself. The very idea that Cheap Trick was OPENING for those two awful bands is such a grave injustice.

Def Leppard and Poison are poster boys from one of the worst eras of music (until now, that is).
Add up the talent of those two bands and still can't touch Cheap Trick on their worst day.

Pretty much the greatest thing to come out of Rockford ever. This brings me back to being four and learning the words from my sisters who could get me to sing the chorus at the drop of a hat. Surrender was the first rock song I ever rocked out to. It will always have a place on my playlist.
