Ideally, the best thing would have been to put the Jews and other undesirables on transport to other countries where they could immigrate. However that is not what happened. Based with the monumental and unpleasant task that was placed before them, Heydrich, Himmler and Eichmann did quite well. They did what they did because they were ordered to bt their superiors and not because they thought it would be "fun". Things like that are a side effect of every war...
