@undeadsaint but all martial arts are self defence as they were designed to mane and kill it is only during the centuries that techniques have been evolved into being protective without killing an attacker...I would recommend, Krav maga, Aikido, Kali or Eskrima, Systema, Wing chun, they are all very good arts but again as I said before try them, then you will know what path suits you best to follow :)
@undeadsaint well a good teacher would work around it, I used to do, Taekwondo (2nd degree black belt), Judo (black), Eskrima (purple), Brazilian jiu jitsu (brown) however I dislocated patella and tore my ACL ligament from BJJ, so I only practise aikido (brown belt black stripe) which I have done for 6 years, but I also have experience in weapons and expert on pressure points, any martial art works as they all are effectiver but suits differently..you will only know when you try. :)
@B3nBo1194 this is very interesting. I am looking around to learn mainly for self defense. However i have a problem using my right fist & kicking because i had an accident. Therefore many martial art doesn't suits me. What can u recommend?
@undeadsaint systema, in russian means the system, the principle behind the art is to use weapon disarming, and using the 365 pressure points in the human body to control, destroy, and manipulate the nervous sytem, it was used by the spetnaz, and is very dangerous, I don't practise systema, however I know alot about various arts, and I have belts in many martial arts, and I am a pressure point expert, and at this moment practise Aikido. Hope this helps

@arrugasos He's shearing the solar plexus, a nerve vortex which acts as a pressure point.
