Prime Minister Julia Gillard talks to Homeless Man in Brisbane, inspiring people to do the same. One day I decided to do what the PM Julia did and had a conversation with a Homeless man near my work
A guy recently asked me if He can use part of this video on a University presentation about Homelessness, I lost his contact detail…If you Uni guy are reading this... let me know how did you go :-)
@Tubetheweb Hi there I am glad you liked the video, I have not seen Ian since winter started , He usually goes to the homeless shelter a few blocks away from the park, I will go an check on him on of these days since a lady has given me some books for him :-)
First and formost: thank you for taking the time to run a story with Ian, and thank you Ian for allowing your story to be told ! It's people like yourselves that make a difference in the world. So true Ian- "people shouldn't judge people by their looks!" Status and stigma in society is just rediculous....I hope Ian has contact with his children, life is just to short to let it slip by. In a sence Ian has a freedom from all the political, economical face saving bullshit in society.
@wildmandazza Hi there, I am glad you liked the video, Ian recently had a long phone conversation with his son :-). Yes sometimes I wonder the same thing, perhaps a simpler life is a better and happier life.
@a2bvideos What a lovely video I feel inspired. I think when I move to the city which I am soon enough. I will start talking to the homeless. DO you keep in touch with him?
@freewilly2fly Hi there I hope you are having fun in the city (if you already moved :-) ), Brisbane is a great place to live for most people anyway. Yes I see him every now and then on the street on my way to work……He has his own place at a hostel near by …so it was good to hear He was not living on the streets anymore…He still visits the park every now and then to do some reading.
