2011 Macbook Pro 13" Gaming - Dolphin Emulator (Pt. 1)

This is the first in a series of videos documenting the graphics performance of the 2011 13" Macbook Pro (i5, Intel 3000). This video shows the performance of the Dolphin GameCube emulator. Keep in mind that I am also running screenflow to screencap, so that dampers the performance a little bit.

The specs of this Macbook Pro are:
- 2.3GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor
- 320GB 5400-rpm hard drive
- Intel HD Graphics 3000 with 384MB DDR3 SDRAM shared memory
- 4GB memory
- 13.3-inch display (1280 x 800)
- This is the base model Macbook Pro

What controller do you use? Keyboard or Usb Controller? If so what kind?

@Satoshi321 In this video, I just used the keyboard. But I do pair my PS3 controller over bluetooth to play also.

Also i have two questions for you one is Could you play that sonic adventure 2 and also play super smash bros brawl on the Dolphin emulator. and two recent games like Assassins creed 2 or Gta 4 or Call of Duty Black ops if a macbook pro 13 2011 those that would be perfect

@axeking3440 I played Sonic Adventure 2 Battle the other day and it ran perfectly (full 60, barely dipped), I can put up a vid if you want... but there was no problem running it. I would play brawl, but I'm having some trouble figuring out how to "emulate" the wii remote...

None of those other games came out for Mac (Black Ops, Assassin's Creed 2, or GTA 4), and I'm not really interested in showing off a hacked-together PC port. I don't think that that is a good representation of the system.

@gregdobs oh ok cools i understand but yea run sonic Adventure 2 with a video please and i hopefully you can figure out the super smash bros thing thats one of my favorite wii games and for the other games i just wondering if it could it smoothly or not but i get your point tho

where is a good place to get quality roms with fast downloads, because i have tried a few sites so far but very slow download speeds. so if someone could get back to me that would be great.

@i0inky It's not about the price it's just that I like how the iMac looks like and it performs I like it's big screen and it crispy image and I also goes beyond 1080p also its less likely to get a virus..but thank for recommendation though.

I am going to buy an imac with 2.7GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5 and AMD Radeon HD 6770M with 512MB do you think this is enough to run dolphin emulator fine

@Davidixe08 a core 2 duo cannot compare with the power of the new i5. I think you're computer cannot handle it :( sorry. It's much more fun on the GameCube anyaw
