The next phase of Mars exploration begins on May 25, 2008 when the Phoenix Mars Lander touches down on the surface of the red planet. This tribute to the mission is set to the music of Ulrich Schnauss' "A Song About Hope." Video produced by Davin Flateau.

  • When I entered USAFA in 1971 I really believed we'd be walking on Mars by 1986 and that I might eventually be part of a follow-up mission. Hopefully these robotic scouts will allow that to actually happen by 2026 and I'll still be around to witness it.

  • Seems that space is no longer a priority, we'll probably end up with a overpopulated earth and no resources to colonize any other planet :(
