I just wonder how it will sound on a higher volume..nice tones from this pedal. Good playing also!

I bought a Plextortion and it arrived today. I love it. It's so articulate and powerful! Just the sound I was looking for! Wampler did a great job on the pedal!

(i own a VHT pitbull 50/CL) but ive also considered the pinnacle (but that seems like more of a disto than an od) and i like the idea/sound of the ecstasy, but it doesnt seem as usable for me. i dont want smooth dumble like tones... (not my thing)

hey man. I've been really considering getting an od wampler pedal. You seem to have some experience with them. I'm just curious, how does the super plextortion (if uve tried that one) sound as a boost in front of an od channel on your amp? i don't want to take much away from the character of my amp.

is this the first version of the plextortion without the boost function?
is the plextortion too top-endy? oh and does it work well if you use humbuckers?

No, it sounds great with humbuckers, and the newer ones have less top-end sizzle than the first ones.

No, but I have that one too. This one is a little more edgy, IMO. Both are great pedals.

Great Sound!
I'm also thinking about buying a Sonic Maximizer Pedal. Does it really make such a huge difference to the sound? I'm still quite unsure, cause it seems just so subtle... or am I mistaken?

It is fairly subtle. I found it really helpful at lower volumes, but at high volumes it tended to get in the way. Guitar Center has a nice return policy, by the way. :)
