President Lech Kaczynski. THE LAST FLIGHT

Approximately at 10.30 Moscow time the President has been waited at airfield "Severny" in Smolensk. Air traffic controllers let TU-154 crews know beforehand of bad weather and offered to land the aircraft in Minsk, Vitebsk or Moscow.
According to First Vice-Chief of Russian Air Force Headquarters Alexander Alyoshin, when the aircraft was within 1,5 km from airfield the flight dispatcher has noticed that aircraft increased the vertical speed of descend and started to descend below glide path. He gave a command to crew to level the flight but the crew has not executed. As a result TU-154 has deviated from its course by height and aside. The aircraft had three approaches for landing and during the fourth try it's came down below normal height and then crushed the tree, overturned and inflamed.
