@Colossus3999 Sidious ultimately fails as a Sith because he gave into his lust for power and greed, a Sith isn't there it be all consuming, a Sith is there to rule the Galaxy with an iron fist and sacrifice in order to so. Sidious was a old food who couldn't see past his own greed for the better of the Galaxy. Put it this way (and not to offend any socialists or communists out there) the Sith are like the Dictatorship of the Proletariat, it's really bad to start but then it becomes amazing.

@imooumoo4 I don't really consider Revan to be Sith in the first place. Revan never meant to destroy the republic. His ultimate goals were to destroy the true Sith he encountered after the Mandalorian Wars. Revan was keen on not destroying infrastructure during the Jedi Civil War in order to maintain stability when he was victorious so that whatever galactic order was victorious, would be able to successfully defeat the true sith.
