You dont get it. This is not a GPU where u can play games on it.
GeForce is the GPU's for gaming
Quadro FX are for animation, making movies and stuff.
Quadro and GeForce is from Nvidia, and Nvidia is an american company that makes this stuff for everyone.
Your GPU isnt bad cause of its name, just old.

holy shit that means for a 2 hr film it will take maybe 2 1/2 hr to encode. So what does that take on a CPU!!!??? A day....

Well, if you get a quadro, then you can produce quality work "FASTER" and to a more refined, complex, and impressive level. Even in 3D, im having problems doing complex work because my graphics card is a GeForce. Its shit!!! Quadro is the way or ATI.

I'd also like to be able to encode at the same speed but using higher quality.. Badaboom is faster but the quality is not enough for a pro. Sure a fast GPU is definitely a benefit, but I don't want to have to buy a Quadro to get pro quality. I'd rather just stick to the slower CPU because quality is key in the end, not speed (for me at least)..

you can use BADABOOM which is made by Elemental Technologies, it's the consumer quality version of the elemental accelerator, but does not integrate with the CS4 suite. Badaboom is a standalone program
