This is a video guide for those of you who want to be able to get the best Runecrafting experience per hour. To do so, you must use ZMI, as shown in this video. At the fastest pace possible, with mousekeys, and 99 Runecrafting, you can achieve up to ~62k xp/hour, specifically using the NPC Contact Spell that you can now use to repair pouches. However, at lower levels, and on average, expect more along the lines of 50-58k xp/hour. I do not use mousekeys, and the slight amount of lag that I was getting while filming was enough to screw up my banking every few runs, so naturally, I'm a bit faster than shown.
My personal best xp/hour has been 55,062 experience recorded, at level 88 Runecrafting. I'm sure my experience would be slightly higher at a higher Runecrafting level.
In terms of gear, you can wear anything on your head that is 0 kg, I just like to wear my partyhat. If you have it, wear Armadyl Skirt, Agile Top, and Dragonfire Shield, as this can net you the best defense while still at 0 kg (remember, 0 kg is the same as -10 kg in terms of energy loss). However, I do not have the Skirt or Agile Top, so I use my gear which is still pretty decent. With the Regen Bracelet and Rapid Heal, I never have to eat. You might have to eat a tiny bit if you're a low level.
In an hour, I usually use up 2 or 3 normal Energy Potions (4), at level 85 Agility. So make sure to have NORMAL Energy Potions (3) or (4), withdraw when needed.
I do not have my bank completely set up in a great order for ZMI, however, it's just what I'm used to, so moving my cursor a couple inches to get my NPC Contact Runes a few times an hour isn't too bad. Also, you can see I don't have Summoning Potions in my Runecrafting tab, as I prefer to teleport to Castle Wars real quick to recharge my Summoning Points after I use up two Lurker Pouches. That way, I get a little bit of different scenery for just a tiny bit.
One thing to remember, when you are crafting your runes, you can empty your pouches slightly before with normal Runecrafting, so you can see I empty my pouches sooner than normal. This also yields more xp/hour with ZMI. And also, in case you didn't know, ZMI yields random runes (the higher your level, the more likely you will obtain higher runes), and if you don't have the level to craft a certain rune, you still get a small chance to craft it. However, each rune gives you 2x the experience, which is why the ZMI is so great for experience.
When recharging prayer, make sure to watch how I do it. I click next to the ladder, click the altar and with the right timing, click the ladder. This will skip the animation and you lose no time at all, while still recharging your prayer.
That's all I can think of at the time being. Happy Runecrafting. At the time of posting this video, I am level 89 Runecrafting, and will reach 91 shortly, and will begin crafting Natures via Graahks. I will post a video about Graahk Rcing when I get 91.
