the enlightenment age came from the closest neighbors of the europeans ie: the arabs. This is pretty much a fact. And as advances continued in thinking a lot of the ideas that reached european society came from elsewhere. There is nothing wrong with this btw it is perfectly natural way of how knowledge, and technology diffuses and is improved upon. the Europeans did just that. Every civilization has done this.

YOu also undermine the advances of the persians, and indian civilizations that were in trade and contact with that part of the world also in Africa. so much trade and influence that islam spread to Southeast Asia quite rapidly. Most of the European enlightenment was an exact replica of how Islamic society operated. IF you didn't know any better about the Arab world.
