Heartbreak Warfare by John Mayer from the album Battle Studies.

Lighting strikes inside
My chest keep me up at night
Dream of ways to make you understand my pain
Clouds of sulfur in the air
Bombs are falling everywhere
Its heartbreak warfare

Once you want it to begin
No one really ever wins
In heartbreak warfare

If you want more love
why dont you say so
If you want more love
why dont you say so

Drop his name, push it in and twist the knife again
Watch my face as I pretend to feel no pain pain pain

Clouds of sulfur in the air
Bombs are falling everywhere
Its heartbreak warfare

Once you want it to begin
No one really ever wins
In heartbreak warfare

If you want more love
Why dont you say so
If you want more love
Why dont you say so
Just say so

How come the only way to know
How high to get me
Is to see how far I fall

God only knows how much
Id love you if you let me
But I cant break through it all

Its heart, heartbreak

I dont care if we dont sleep at all tonight
Lets just fix this whole thing now
I swear to God were gonna get it right
If you lay your weapons down

Red wine and ambien, youre talking shit again
Its heartbreak warfare

Good to know its all a game
Disappointment has a name
Its heartbreak, heartbreak

Its heartbreak warfare
Its heartbreak warfare

  • This is a true story.

I haven't left my apartment in 6 days. I haven't eaten in 3. I haven't even spoken to any of my friends in over a week. I've been sitting all day, every day, drinking rum and thinking about the long list of soul destroying problems I'm going through at the moment. I've imagined my own death at least a hundred times, and was begining to think that was the best way out. Listening to John Mayer again has somehow given me perspective on everything. I'm going outside now...

  • @WreckinB93 You're the one talking about spelling. Than*

  • Cant even listen to this song without singing the lyrics to brysi's version

  • mark don`t do it I know your hurting real bad now you will meet someone else make you forget all about the other person please trust me!

  • The tags "pure awesomeness".

  • God... I'm only 14, already going crazy for my ex(first girlfriend that i love so much!). I don't know what to do to move on! Already attempted to take my own life, it feels someone stopped me doing it. Can anyone help me?

  • @bwal09 If all that stuff actually happened to you, I'm really sorry that it did and I hope you can find a way to move on, but you really don't know anything about me or what's going on in my life. For you to insinuate that because you have terrible things happening to you, no one else has a right to feel bad about their own problems...is really low.

  • Mayer isn't a fave. Of mine but this is an amazing and simple pop song. The music and the writing. Nice job.

  • @SeaRag123 Sometimes it's true break ups can be hard even long period relationships that end bad are hard i just got out of one bought her a 200$ dollar ring and she cheated on me. said that i was to in love with her. Its amazing what a girl can do to a guys heart.

  • @BreeOneMoreTime NO! You should have spelled "you're" wrong! Then we could have had a chain of corrections.

  • Bombs are falling in everywhere, people dying anywhere it's modern warfare.
