I'm not a kriek-fan either but you should definitely try Liefmans Kriek, don't know if you can get it in the states but it's the best one in my opinion because it starts of sweet like a normal Kriek but it instantly hits you with a sourness which is really nice imho. Personally I think it's on a level on it's own when it comes to Kriek, it isn't the sweet 'chick' beer like other Krieks.
Let me just put it like this most krieks are like lemonade with beer added Liefmans is the other way round.

It's a nice beer but here in Belgium everybody calls it a beer 'for women' :)!
(P.S. But I drink it anyway)
You should review La Chouffe, it's the best beer in the world to my opinion :)!
*sorry for my english :)*

Kriek, Framboise, and other beers based on fruit are indeed rather sweet beers and I think people who are not used to drinking beer, and especially women, prefer those beers because of their sweetness. I'd recommend you to try Faro, or Gueuze (Boon is a sour one; slightly sweeter variations would be Mort Subite or Jacobins, my favorite).

I will have to try and see if I can find those beers in my area. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.
