  • Nice interview! I liked how the interviewer was very knowledgeable about the book. I didn't know that "Diamond Star" was set 10 years before "Ruby Dice," that was a neat piece of information.

I've read TONS of hard science fiction. "Diamond Star" is only marginally that, the focus is indeed on the romance/people aspect, and Catherine Asaro can and does write hard science fiction very well. She's a fantastic writer.

  • I have read this book twice. I love it! I love all the books in this series. I read probably more books than anyone alive (really!). There are many authors whose books I love but miss Asaro's are my favorite! I can't wait for her next book! She is the absolute best! She has a special ability for the 'big' moments, the ones that give you goosebumps. She is just absolutely fantastic! Thank you so much for writing & please never quit.

  • @Darapsa wow you're kind of lame :]

this is one of her more romantic books with scifi elements but the others in her series are far more what you would call hard scifi

  • I'm having some trouble posting this, but I'll give it another try ...

@DevataIndrani There's a nicely done related interview about the science in her books at the Intel Big Think site: bigthink.com/series/36?selected=20440#player
