Slow Food's Terra Madre is an international network of food producers, cooks, educators and students from 150 countries who are united by a common goal of global sustainability in food. Every two years, the network comes together in Italy to share innovative solutions for keeping small-scale agriculture, sustainable food production, and cultural foods alive and well. This year, Slow Food USA selected our very own Carmelita Taylor as part of the American delegation! Free of charge, Carmelita will get to connect the urban food justice movement to the international food movement, speak to people just like her from all over the world, and enjoy her first trip out of the country!
