"Armstrong" - "Let my people go" par les élèves de la classe de saxophone de Slava Kazykin

Armstrong - Let my people go - Go down Moses (Gospel) pour ensemble de débutants de saxophone et/ou clarinette de 1ère ou 2ème année (quatre clarinettes, trois saxophones soprano, trois saxophones alto).

Après le thème, on peut proposer aux élèves d'improviser deux mesures chacun (avec un accompagnement piano ou basse, batterie, piano) : sur la gamme blues de LA (A - C - D - Eb - E - G - A) pour les clarinettes et saxophones soprano, et la gamme blues de MI (E - G - A - Bb - B - D - E) pour les saxophones alto. Ca marche très bien. Pour finir, l'ensemble rejoue le thème.

Armstrong - Let my people go - Go down Moses (Gospel) for ensemble of beginners of saxophone and/or clarinet of 1st or 2nd year (four clarinets, three soprano saxophones, three alto saxophones). After the thème, one can propose to the pupils to improvise two measures one after another (with an accompaniment piano or bass, drums, piano): on the A Blues scale
(A - C - D - Eb - E - G - A)
for the clarinets and soprano saxophones, and the E Blues scale
(E - G - A - Bb - B - D - E)
for the alto saxophones. It matches very well. To finish, everybody replay the thème.
