The launch would be possible but that many engines would be unlikely. By the time the rocket returned to earth it would have been out of fuel. A more practical answer would be payload parachute(s) followed by low thruster boosts before landing.
Nice try, but it won't fly!!!

The IMU does have both. They're necessary just to take off and hover, let alone do a suborbital trajectory.

Ha. Perhaps you should learn a bit about GN&C. The vehicle that flies that profile will be different than the one shown (it will have less engines, for one thing) but it's entirely possible.
200MPH is wrong too, it'll fall much faster than that.

it is possible, you just have to fly it like a helicopter, the rocket engines would replace the main rotors, and it would use attitude control jets to keep itself upright. it would most likely need a three-axis accelerometer and a 3 axis gyroscope to even have a chance of doing all that autonomously
