Laity and movements to evangelise

The first wave of evangelisers in the past focussed on the Greco-roman world, the barbarian world, and the new world (that is, the American continent). Now, the secularised West is the focus of the New Evangelisation. Capuchin Father Raniero Cantalamessa, the Preacher of the Pontifical Household, recalled this in the fourth and last Advent homily this morning.
