Lyrics & Information
Taken from their 'Men From Earth' album. This song is purely magical. It transports one straight to the great Rocky Mountains or somewhere in Colorado. I love America! They sure knew how to make their music speak.
Lyrics :-
(Guitars & Bass Intro)
Walking down the road
Rocks fly at my feet
I let myself explode
And wake you from your sleep
And the flowers are blooming
In the mountain range
Lay down what you're doing
The season is in change
And my mind is made up
To learn all the dances
before my body's laid up
And the night advances
And the time is here
And the time is here
And the time is here
o-o-o-oh
(Acoustic guitar pickin')
(Oboe Solo)
(ahh, ahh, ahh, ahh)
(ahh, ahh, ahh, ahh)
(ahh, ahh, ahh, ahh)
(ahh, ahh, ahh, ahh)
(End - Acoustic guitar pickin')

This was one of my parents' many LPs I used to play as a kid (they had well over a hundred of them). I hear this song and can envision myself standing next to a glacial lake in front of a snow-capped mountain, not worrying about anything..Love the innovative guitar work .Love the sound of the owl at the beginning (thats what it sounds like to me) .I was born in 1977 but at least vinyl was still in fashion in the 1980s so I could get in on what my parents' generation had...Good album

My favourite song from what I reckon was their best album 'Men From Earth' and to me will always be a classic.

Great song. Brings back many memories.
I always thought this was their best piece of vinyl. It still sounds great on my turntable.

byrne, you've been to the U.S.? That's cool. The last time I went to Colorado I was about 6 or 7, and I don't remember it because we were just passing through.
My dad wants to take a motorcycle trip out there, but there always seems to be something blocking our free time, ya know? It would be awesome, though. (By the way, I ride motorcycles haha.)
Another great post. Keep up the awesome channel. I've seriously gotta scoop together some cash for some of their stuff. Sorry for comment spam!
