@dani1928 Indeed ^.^. I've also heard his do Breaking The Law and nailed it...there's nothing he can't do.

@Glyvenator Fair enough.

well, Lemmy is god... :)

@LNERfan I did forget him, he has some whopping high notes as well. I do like that style of singing alot, I simply think we need some more hard voices in metal is all, but we dont get rid of the falsettos, we keep them and add more bands with the deeper, rougher voices.

@dani1928 You make a valid point. Im a huge fan of all those bands you just mentioned, and I wouldnt change them. However, I would say that the heavier voices can perform the songs just as well, they simply put a different twist on them. I have heard Lemmy perform The Trooper, and while it sounds nothing like the original, he nailed it.

As much as i love Joakim, i have to disagree, classic heavy metal and power metal
goes great with falsettos, you can see it in bands like Helloween or Blind Guardian.
Joakim's voice suits a heavier type of heavy metal, it won't work with a lot of bands, try puting Joakim in Judas Priest or Iron Maiden, on the second hand, try putting Bruce Dickinson in Sabaton, or Motorhead, i doubt that it would work either.. :)
Metal needs more singers like Joakim. His voice has more grunt in it, which suits metal much more than screaming falsettos (Bruce Dickinson and Rob Halford being the exceptions to that rule)
