Really nice model!!!

I also use the drill files to cut the pcb holes. I have however started to make some programs with excel and visual basics to use the rest of the gerber file. It seem to be faster to import the zip file and open it in the program itself. I still have to work on file management issues.

have you noticed no matter how many of these vids show home made routers, none link to a website or are willing to help you build your own.....

Awesome, where can we download the design plans? :)

I believe Erector is the US-branded Mechano product.

The colorful metal plates remind me of the Gabriel Erector Sets from the 1970's.

Can that program cut the pcb out as well. That looks like the nc file. Nice job. Did you use imperial or metric settings in the prototype? Have you tried that out on a pcb yet, or you are just testing still?
awesome work ;D What cad formats are you developing with?

Hi weild1,
I have not made provision to cut the PCB out, but I guess you can if you change the drill bit with a small milling cutter and make several passes, you can achieve it. I personnaly use a band saw. The program I use are easytrax and sprint-layout, they both output the data in Gerber format. With an Excel program, I rearrange the data to move the drill in a serpentine fashion. Everything is done in imperial measurements.
