To replace the needle on the Fisher-Price Phonograph:
1. Unplug the phonograph.
2. Remove the lid.
3. Swing the tone arm 180 degrees clockwise (Place your finger between the deck and the stop near the rear of the tone arm so it will clear the plastic nub).
4. Turn the phonograph upside down and place a small screwdriver under the needle.
5. Pull out the old needle.
6. Insert the new needle with the tip FACING UP firmly into the holder.
7. Reverse steps 4 through 1.

I recently purchased a replacement needle for my Fisher Price turntable but am having extreme difficulty placing it on, due to the fact that the stylus retreats when I attempt to put it on. Any suggestions??
