@Ouija121085 The hostages died due to the Spetsnaz's stupidity, they not only pumped in a semi-lethal gas into a hostage situation, but wouldn't release the gasses type or make up to medical teams so they could treat surviving victims.

That type of action is pulled off a lot better by Delta force in Iraq and Afghanistan every year, as well as in the Pakistani mountains fighting against the same forces the spetsnaz fought, the spetsnaz lost two of their BEST squads, btw..

@holysoks1 Those hostages died because there were traffic jams all over the place due to mass of vehicles and failure of city officials to make necesary rutes to hospitals moron. This has nothing to do with specnaz action which was brilliant, and nothing like that has been ever seen on face of the earth in situation where mines and explosives were laid over every couple of meters. That moscow siege action is the best antiterrorist action ever recorded in modern history.

@holysoks1 Budget cuts? where do you live? Putin just announced about two months ago that he is going to put in 700 Billion euros into army budget. What cuts? he even threthened tank makers in Russia if they cannot make time to produce new generation tank by cut off date he will buy german tanks... this ofcrouse he said to piss them off. They just bought 2 helicopter carriers from france. What cuts? he is arming Russian army like never before.

Now, let's move on to the fact that the Russian military budget cuts removed just under 70% of their training and equipment money.

Losing 150+ hostages in Moscow is a good example of their failure, not to mention they're unable to get Chechens under control.
