  • alright..... say that to the 400 million vegetarians in the world

  • By the way men can easily overdose on Iron. They really don't need suplements (in general)._

  • In iron deficiency serum total iron binding capacity is increased and transferrin saturation is reduced. Ferritin is usually reduced in iron deficiency but as it is an acute phase protein it may be elevated and be falsely normal in inflammatory or malignant disorders.

  • @therealpancho all i can say is some high fiber cereals have up to 90% of your daily value in one bowl

  • Wow this is some good info

  • @gledalac1979

i do realize plants are living creatures, but these creatures have a more basic contribution to our ecosystem. Considering the type of plant, the general purpose is to be used. But you are right, there is always a time where there is a need to watch what we are doing (ex: deforestation").

But if you are asking me personally I am very aware of the way i treat them. I try my best not to mistreat them (ex:pollution). And for the moral input they dont have a nervous system (no pain)

  • @therealpancho

do you realize that plants are living creatures as well?

Or why are people always seeking "organic" food, organic means it's a living food , right ?

  • Iron also depend a lot on what blood type you are. O blood types need more Iron. A & b can convert to vegetarian easier. All three can use angstrom iron supplement to get the iron they need.

  • mmk. You may be vegetarian but our mindsets are completely different.

As you know animals are being killed for human personal gain... you know all this but you probability haven't noticed that were in a the middle of a losing war. Im tearing my heart out trying to help these animals. These animals dont have a voice but if they did they would be screaming and yelling and you can call them whatever you want but just understand that when im being "self righteous" im not doing it for me....

  • Also, I'm primarily a vegetarian and would probably agree with most of your viewpoints. However, your self righteous remarks and language that identifies with extreme ideologies leads me to believe that your ego is too big for the good of everyone and really just compels me to give counter arguments. If you try not to appear like such a prick, people might actually give you a chance and not argue with you so much.

  • I think you mean to say down WITH animal consumption. Also, try not to sound so radical and pushy about your beliefs. It's annoying.

Eating animals may be unnecessary, but holding yourself as higher value than other people and things is part of life. If you believe you are any different then you may want to promptly sell all of your things, donate all of your money to starving children in Africa, and donate all your organs. It's selfish to keep them all when you could save half a dozen people.

  • preeminent nutrition expert Dr. T. Colin Campbell states, "Quite simply, the more you substitute plant foods for animal foods, the healthier you are likely to be. I now consider veganism to be the ideal diet. A vegan meal plan-particularly one that is low in fat-will substantially reduce disease risks. Plus, we've seen no disadvantages from veganism. In every respect, vegans appear to enjoy equal or better health in comparison to both vegetarians and non-vegetarians."
