While I applaud the efforts of DOW to use solar power as the new energy source. What are you planning to do about the massive amount needed? You said it yourself, you need the size of 200 football fields to power 45,000 homes. For 1 homes that's about 4.5 million football fields of space, not including cars, firms, etc. Additionally, you need energy to construct them (oil) and enough daylight to power which rules out the empty northern areas. Where does the space and resources come from?

Solar power is only one of many alternative power sources Dow is exploring. And you might be interested to know that Germany and Japan, not countries known for sunlight, are leaders in solar power. That said, there is no shortage of space to build these plants and we have plans to fill many more with our chemistry. Thanks.
