Limey & the Yanks - Gather My Things and Go (1966)

Brought to you in glorious faux stereo!
Rare 1966 single by Limey and the Yanks, who hailed from Los Angeles.
This is from my Boulders 11 record, and is also available on Ya Gotta Have Moxie 2.

.....and I just dug up info on their old record label. It's LOMA records, which is (now) owned by some greedy bastards. Even though they have nothing to do with this record, we'll see how long it takes before they ruin the fun and games!

Great song - kind of melancholy - faux stereo? This one has a definite stereo ambience...

It does not sound like those horrible "rechanneled for stereo" remakes that cluttered record bins in those days... Remember those? All bass on one channel and earsplitting treble on the other.

@eoj2495 hi - and thanks very nuch for the great comments on this vid anf others. yeah, it's faux stereo. I 'remixed' it myself from mono, in order to bypass the blocking filters. when I uploaded this last year, YouTube was blocking and banning so many videos that I decided to alter the sound slightly. I lived in Westminster (in Orange County), I was about 14 and loved this band, we (friends and I) used to write to them asking these goofy little girl questions and they would respond and answer every one...lol. I would get really excited if I was in my moms car and heard a Lancer shirt commercial...oh, the memories!
