This actor Jason Durr sometimes appears in motorbike leathers because when he is not working as a policeman with his work motorcycle he sometimes rides about on his own motorbike.

So he is seen occasionally in leathers when off duty.

Some episodes that is several times but many episodes not at all.

It is set in 1960s; at that time UK motorbike police did not wear leather for work, at least not usually.
