This dayan needs to be tuned really bad. The "too" bol sounds awful

@sangeetambhakta im not sure which note your referring to as "too" I haven't even come across anyone use that word for a note, and its tuned fine. I have about 8 dayans, each has different types of wood, skin and diameter, all that also effects the end sound, maybe your just not familiar with that tone or play that particular note differently(I'm not even sure what note your referring to). Also further on in the video I do say that youtube effected my sound quality.

@kav123 You're right, I just made it up. I meant "TUN" but untuned like in the video sounds rather like "TOO". Many overtones colliding, resulting in an undefined tone. 8 dayans, uh? Wow, you're quite lucky! I've only owned 4 of them, of wich I only keep two. One is really mediocre (it came to me for free) but better than nothing. The other one is a really fine one wich has a rehead job way past overdue. By the way, congrats on the videos and web page in general. So useful ! THNX

@sangeetambhakta Thanx appreciate your comment! , in Australia its hard to get decent quality dayans at a good price, so I made it a priority to bring atleast one or 2 back on each trip haha, haven't been in awhile tho last set I got I ordered in from sohum enterprises, their website seems no longer accessible tho :(

Here's a helpful tip. Don't ever try to play tabla with a swollen finger.. hurts like hell.. lol ;)

I have just received a set of tabla, my Dayan is set to be tuned at C# , what do I tune my Bayan to? I'm having trouble getting that nice bayan sound.
