Working Mom

As cost of living has exploded, it's practically mandatory to have a two-income household. This means both mother and father work. Or, if you think you can land a doctor or lawyer, you'll find you're a stay at home mother, but your husband works 80 hrs a week. Our society currently sucks for trying to have a meaningful family life.

Fulltime moms probably don't get enough time out of the home, and SAHM don't get enough time being outside of the home.

I think the whole point is that typically when you are around the same people day in and day out, you get annoyed with them. Whether those people are your children or those people are coworkers/ bosses. You will at some point just zone out and not hear those around you. I think the "happy medium" for most women would be to work part time and stay at home part time. Its hard when you do either/or full time. All moms need time at and away from home.

I appreciate how you made fun of both SAMS and working moms

@alacrancita14 I like her daughter. Does that make me a bad mom?

Tell him dinner is whatever his lazy ass puts on the stove.
I think the bottom line is: once you're a mom, winning is no longer an option. If you're at home you're lazy, if you're at work you're neglectful, if your kid develops an illness, it's your fault... and oooh, look, they just came out with a new study telling you how badly screwed up your children will be!
I've stayed home, worked, stayed home and worked. Winning is not an option. Surviving seems to be the order of the day ;)

What sucks is that most jobs don't pay enough so that a father can support the whole family economic burden. That would solve plenty of problems, right and left, short term and long tern.
