Co-organised by the British Council and the Hong Kong Heritage Museum, the third leg of the touring exhibition 'Made in Britain: Contemporary Art from the British Council Collection 1980-2010' is specially selected from one of the most comprehensive holdings of modern and contemporary British art in the world, containing some 8,500 art works by over 1,650 British artists.
The exhibition showcases works produced in the period between 1980 and 2010 by 35 groups of British artists, including Damien Hirst, Sarah Lucas, Gillian Wearing and Mark Wallinger. It will also be featuring works by Turner Prize winners such as Richard Wright and Wolfgang Tillmans as well as several nominees, encompassing an enormous diversity of styles and conceptions.
