This is an example of the correct use and placement of the C-MAC video laryngoscope using the D-blade. The user can either go midline or sweep the tongue. The blade needs to be used as a Macintosh blade--going into the vallecula, with the epiglottis below the blade. Notice that with the C-MAC video laryngoscope one can see the tip of the blade on the screen. This greatly helps with navigation within the anatomy and helps prevent tissue trauma and lacerations.
