mad world, by tears for fears

as the events on the campus of virginia tech unraveled this past week, the words to this song kept echoing in my ears. in the early 80's, a shooting occurred at my jr. high school in st louis, mo. someone i knew had brought a gun to school, shot two students in a study hall, killing one, before turning the gun on himself in front of his classmates and taking his own life. it was an insane event then and each time it happens again it's madder still. we all live too fast. we're all hurting. some of us need to talk more and we could all stand to listen a bit more carefully. i know where you're all at this week. i've been there. take it slowly. take it easy. take care.

I'm surprised this hasn't gotten more popularity, even though it's attached to one of Even Mack's video's. Sound is acceptable, lyrics are appropriate, and graphics are about average for certain cameras. It just about sums up the sadness.
