all state governments in india and the govt of india are spending rapidly in creating public transport infra .as a part of it,several thousands of busses were bought, modernising of public transport,metro rail projects are being carried out in various cities in india, operatable by the end of 2014.expansion of city roads,there is a huge hunger of transport in india . though transport corporations are buying thousands of busses every year,considerable portion of them are only replacing old ones

enough comments .. these are the busses of MTC (metro transport corporation) of chennai city in india. the busses seen here are pretty old and recently the Tamil Nadu government & govt of india has replaced all thoses busses with brand new TATA,ASHOK LEYLAND & VOLVO low floor busses . public transport in india is among the cheapest in the world . under the JNNURM programme , several thousands of busses were ordered and are already in service from 2009.
