Woah, 10,000 views!

A test to see which revisions of the game Michael Jackson's Moonwalker (Genesis) have Thriller as a secret track in the third/graveyard level of the game.

*******UPDATE 7/19/09*******
There are several different versions of REV. 00. Some of these versions play Thriller as the main song even if you don't press B. Others may play Thriller only if you press B before doing the lulzy dance-off.

So far I've found no copies of Revision 1 that play Thriller. Sega must've completely removed it from the game unless there's another method of playing it.

You're thinking of Sonic 3. He was actually making music for the game but Sega let him go sometime in 1993 (during the first molestation charges).

Moonwalker came out in 89/90 three years before any of that happened.

Thriller was taken out because it was written by somebody else and performed by MJ. The creators of the game would need the permission of the song's writer to use it. It wasn't used, so permission either wasn't asked for or it was denied.

Michael jackson should have had his albums advertised in the background of the game. And he should have allowed sega to have the complete soundtrack to thriller in the graveyard stage. It would have helped increase his album sales. But i think lega matters were the reason why the american version did not have even a sample of thriller. Copyright laws are so bogus!!!
