I listen to heavy metal, Metallica, Pantera, Slayer, ect...that being said I love this song. This was my grandparent's song. Last February my grandmother died and this was played at her funeral, and after a 63 yr marriage I watched my grandfather cry for the very first time. When we all went outside there was a white dove on the hearse. I'll never forget carrying my grandmother to the dove and thinking of this song. God bless her and may she rest in heaven. I love you Grandma

My grandfather passed back in 2005 and my grandmother passed on August 8, 2011. I think of my grandma when I hear this song too! I miss my grandmother so much!.. I understand exactly what you are feeling. Its still kinda hard for me but it's getting better.

I grew up listening to this on the farm,its been many years the farm is under houses now ,my parents are gone,I really never knew what the song meant when I was a boy!

I loved this song at the sweet age of 16 and I played it so much that my sister broke the record. I was shattered and 40 yrs later I am able to listen to you once again on you tube
