This song was recorded at a ZANLA base sometime between 1976 and 1978. This song inspired our liberation struggle. Today as we mark our independence day (30 yrs) we look back at the sacrifices of our people, we look at where we are; the status quo; we then weigh our aspirations. Is this what we fought for? NO ZIMBABWE DESERVES BETTER!

I'M A SUPPORTER OF MDC BUT I AGREE WITH GETTING OUR LAND BACK BUT THE MANNER THAT MUGABE DID WAS WRONG...AFRICA IS FOR BLACK PEOPLE LETS GET OUR LAND IN A PROPER WAY NOT THROUGH KILLINGS......WE WILL NEED TO TRADE WITH WHITE AFTER WE PRODUCE OUR THINGS THATS WHAT MUGABE FORGET!

The whites made their country great, then they gave it up because of racism and pressure.....now look at the asshole of africa. Now I get asked to donate money to Zimbabwe...only for the white farmers I hope!....pamwe chete.

Democracy, understanding.,courtesy, love, tolerance, eduation, refinement, optimism, positivity, forgiveness and not forgetfulness are virtues to be emulated. If we resort to vulgarity(if there is such a word) and name calling then we have evolved back to all those things 'they' perceive us to be.

Zimbabwe has come a long way. I think if Rhodies acknowledged this part of our history maybe they would have been more appreciative of the reconciliation messege but instead they chose to be arrogant and now look where we are. Well one day Zimbabwe will stand up proud.
