President Barack Obama announced plans to expand offshore oil and gas exploration in the United States Wednesday, ending a 20 year ban on offshore drilling On the southern Atlantic coast. The president called the move part of a broader strategy to shift American dependence on foreign oil by maximizing the use of domestic fuels and promoting clean energy. But environmentalists say the shift in U.S. policy is a step backwards for a president who campaigned on the promise of a green economy. VOA's Mil Arcega reports.
Straight out of the Republican playbook. What a shame.

Please do not be so gullible.
This is political gamesmanship. Obama (what a backdrip, hu?)...is setting up the Rupublicans like a bowling pin to trap them into "cap and trade" legislation and other "eco" type legislation.
Smart man...dangerous man. You are a witness to the USA being dismantled by a man who believes the government can do all things better than its citizens.
