it's not the first piano quartet. schubert was doing this waaaay before you guys. but still good anyways.

well the title lavels this as the first quartet to feature a piano, right? that's not true. schubert, a classical composer, utilized the piano in many of his workings for quartets.

No, you have misunderstood the title of this video. It is the Piano Quartet written by Martinu which he titled as his first piano quartet. Also, a piano quartet does not mean feature a piano. Its a chamber music form which created by W.A.Mozart. It featureing one piano, one violin, one viola and one cello. When it comes to chamber music,every instrument is important with the rest. I hope this helps your question.

thank you! the 2nd and last movements are on their way to the YouTube. I wish those video were recorded with better camera, but back then, thats all we've got... a handy cam with compressed audio. glad you enjoyed the video.
